Im so glad katie didn't reprise her role, Her rachel just looks like a kid playing dress up.
Maggie definitely held her own against the guys, Totally believable.
Plus Katie holmes is just too plain, personally i think maggie is better looking than her.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is an upgrade from Katie Holmes. I usually don't like it when a sequel recasts one of it's main characters, but I'm glad it happened for TDK. Maggie Gyllenhaal is an infinitely better and more mature character actor.

Maggie Gyllenhaal is a terrific actress in this movie. Way better than what Katie Holmes did in the first movie. Of course I'm not saying Katie did a weak role, but it's a stretch. Katie did okay on the first, but the bottom line is Maggie was an even better candidate to play the role of Assistant District Attorney (ADA) Rachel Dawes.
