I think that fact that it was seemingly improvised is the only way they could make it sound like Syd would have wanted it to.

yes he did. He famously turned up at the Wish You Were Here recording sessions, at which point they didn't want him back. In fact he was kicked out in the first place anyway, because he wasn't doing anything but spoiling gigs. Although Syd was a very creative songwriter, he went mad and was incapable of doing anything very constructive. Syd is not at this gig because he was, er, dead.

this is an exact cover-i don't know what you people are talking about. obviously noone understands that acid rock was made in studios and often could not be replicated-and this is a perfect replica. the sound matchs with what i would expect for a bootleg. you people don't know what you are talking about.
