@snowball1988 It was. Wolves do bark in response to a perceived threat or something otherwise suspicious. It serves to swiftly alert pack mates, and communicates to the target that it has been spotted, no use sneaking up, back off. Young pups that hear this know to scurry into the safety of the den or keep low and hidden. The barking wolf that is in focus, is of course whuffing at the cameraman and not the riders in the distance.

@snowball1988 Tibetan wolves are the ancestors of domestic dogs. Do some googling; it's a fascinating subject.

was that wolf 'barking' @ 0:30 because i heard that only dogs bark not wolves, but maybe its more of a grunt.... im looking into how dogs evolved and heard about this sub-species
