Typical western aesthetic approach to mecha. Too complex and excessive. Hi-Tech is supposed to have a simplification about it. Thats what made the Japanese designs for robots trump the western concepts during the 80s. At least in the opinions of many boys in America in the 1980s. Sophisticated but simple.

@rraven16 No, it isn't. They made a live action Gundam movie, it was a cooperative effort between Canada and Japan, and it damn well sucked.

Oh oh...this is looking more like michael bays poor excuse for transformers, why couldn't they just animate it instead, it can be done and more than likely we'll get some stupid human characters (just like bays one) who'll piss Me off more than care for them, finally why is this taking place in america, let alone earth?, voltron always took place in far away galaxies on alien planets, the whole premise was that a team got lost on an unknown planet, found these robots and used them to fight evil.
