Recorded December 29, 2006.

Sydney is the largest city in Australia, with a metropolitan area population of approximately 4.3. It is the state capital of New South Wales. Sydney is situated on Australia's south-east coast. The city is built around Port Jackson, which includes Sydney Harbour, leading to the city's nickname, "the Harbour City". It is noted for the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and its beaches. The metropolitan area is surrounded by national parks, and contains many bays, rivers and inlets.

This video covers my first day in Australia as I take a walk from my hotel in the center of the city down to the harbour. During my walk I visit Hyde Park, Archibald Fountain, ANZAC War Memorial, Royal Botanic Gardens, Government House, Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge.

  • With money being tight, I have reduced opportunities for vacation right now. I have never been to Aus. Watching your video made me feel like I was on vacation there, for a moment. Thanks, and well done!

  • If I could I would probably live in Sydney, at least from what I see from the footage, beautiful city

  • I laugh every time he zooms in on the ibis like its a rare bird.

  • great video and very informative for those of us that live on the other side of the world

  • @face999 The city is for work, not for living in. Australians live mostly in the suburbs and each suburb has its clubs and shopping centers there are a few large city like centers in the suburbs. I live in Australia now and i can tell you we have become almost as Politically corrected as anyone else so "racism" is not got away with easy here.

  • I imagine that Australia is a great place to live
