  • I have a few organs, 11 to be exact. I've narrowed down my keepers to a Gulbransen Rialto II, a Hammond Elegante, and 2 Wurlitzer's- a 4410 electrostatic reed spinet and a 4500 electronic theater organ (ETO) in a straight cabinet.

Jesse Crawford is my inspiration when playing. There is lots and lots of organ music out there. I actually enjoy quite a variety, but it is the theater organ of Jesse Crawford that always reminds me of why I play this darn instrument. He was the man in my book!

  • @paulj0557 I have always enjoyed Crawford's music. I have recently discovered "Forgotten Melody", one of his own compositions. that was the theme of his radio program in the 1930s and 1940s. Where do you find the space for all those organs ?!?

  • @bsgs98 3 in my living room, 1 in bed room, and 6 in a 10X 10 storage unit arranged so any can be played within about 30 seconds to a minute. Since I live on a lower level it makes swapping out organs difficult so I just go to my storage to play. I can play as loud as I want and I have a second empty 5X10 for doing repairs. I make very little extra income as a self employed carpet cleaning professional, but I am a determined man who loves playing organ. When people say 'no room' I laugh.

  • @JadedLeroy15866 Sorry there aren't any Crawford recordings quite that old. His first recordings were in the mid 1920s' so you have a while to go yet. Jesse Crawford's recordings are not that uncommon. You can see them on e-bay almost any time.
