As part of the UFilm Fest for Australian university students, in which we were allowed to make a film about absolutely anything, two friends and myself decided to come up with a little science-fiction film.
Inspired by such time-travel classics as 'La Jetée,' 'Twelve Monkeys,' and - of course - 'Back to the Future,' our film concerns a brilliant young inventor who miraculously creates a TT machine (from a dodgy old Mazda). Our hero goes back in time to try and change the very recent past, but ultimately finds that history cannot be altered quite so easily.
DIRECTOR, WRITER, EDITOR: Andrew Katsis
FILMING: Michael Steinbach, Matt Priest
The film has a catchy 1920s jazz soundtrack, mostly because I was limited to using Public Domain music for copyright reasons. Nevertheless, I've grown quite fond of the music selection, and it sort of reminds me of a Woody Allen movie, so I'm not complaining.
Before you ask about the peculiar "U" that crops up at the most inopportune moment, this was a requirement of the competition.
Like the film and the story and the fake blood, but the music....

Time travel like that is really confusing, especially when he didn't know it was himself and all that. I love it though!

I like your story-telling and I enjoyed the B-movie feel about making a complicated thing like time-traveling into something quite unextraordinary. The soundtrack is very fitting. Excellent indeed.
