In a recent text response regarding a comment on his "Atheist [sic] Are Dangerous" Hunterkirk claimed that God did not create evil. But God himself is claimed to have stated otherwise.

  • Hunterkirk did the same thing to me; he seams to be blocking anyone who disagrees with his views, (while at the same time trying to post as this very open person). How very Christian, how very hypocritical... I also noted that christians that sent responces to your video seamed to have removed them after you answered. Are they so unsure about their position that they have to become this bunch of hypocritical cowards?

  • @FosterZygote Open to intelligent and respectful debate indeed. I just found out that Hunterkirk blocked me too for whatever reason. This is a big trend amongst many conservatives here on YouTube: if you go against their reasonings and bring forth some kind of intellectual input regardless of how respectful it is, they block you and hope that your opposing views don't turn up again on their feeds. It's pretty cowardly if you ask me.

  • @Renturd Could it have been that they simply refused to be badgered into giving you the answer that you desired simply because it does not describe their position accurately?

It's too bad that you seem to prefer your simple, easily hated straw-man to learning about real, complex human beings. I wish you a happy and prosperous life and hope that you can one day overcome your hatred of those you have stereotyped and defined as outsiders worthy of your contempt.

  • @Renturd You seem to be objecting that I don't believe what you tell me I'm supposed to believe. This 500 character format is too restrictive for my taste. Why don't you go the the forums of the James Randi Educational Foundation and ask the numerous atheists there, including myself, if they agree with your assertion?

  • @Renturd Why the change of heart? Is your god omnipotent, omniscient and infallible or not? Why did he tell us to do horrible things like own slaves and murder young women for the "crime" of sex, then change his mind? Why can't an infallible being get things right the first time? Why is he always smashing his toys in disgust?

  • @Renturd So the old, evil god told us that slaves are property and that women who control their own sex lives are to be killed, but then he had a change of heart and realized that he was wrong. So now he offers the much more loving covenant of "Love me or be destroyed". Thanks fore clearing that up.

Our brains are also shaped by our experiences. We are not like spiders building a web by simply executing a program. We learn and shape ourselves by our experiences.

  • @Renturd Ah, a no true Scotsman fallacy. But as you are using the Bible as your guide, tell me, do you own slaves, or have you ever killed a woman because you discovered that she'd had pre-marital sex?

We can be held responsible for our actions because we have brains which are decision making engines. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but it is not a common belief among atheists that our actions are pre-determined genetically.

  • @Renturd To your first point: Can you provide any evidence to back up your assertion, or are you just assuring yourself of things that confirm what your prejudice leads you to believe?

To your query: First, define "free will".

I believe that we are all responsible for our actions.

  • @Renturd No, you are changing the subject. You mentioned rape, murder and theft as the sorts of crimes that are committed by atheists. Yet these are still crimes in virtually every country, and certainly the countries where the populace is least religious. So why don't we see a high percentage of atheists imprisoned for such acts? Why are atheists actually underrepresented in prison populations here in the U.S.?

And I know many atheists, yet I have never met one who thinks that we are "robots".

  • @FosterZygote The guy has juggalo in his name. Who is he to call anyone a loser?
