Final Fantasy IX Part 200 - Kuja's Insane Rage; Escape From Terra

Garland, still alive as some form of conscience, speaks to Kuja and reveals to him that he is only capable of living until Zidane grew stronger, and that he will soon die. At first Kuja does not believe him, but after realizing it is the truth, he goes insane and decides that if he's going to die, he'll take the entire world of Terra with him.

Kuja single-handedly levels the entire civilization of Terra, and we make our escape. Bringing the Genomes with us, we board the Invincible, and make it out of Terra just in the nick of time.

However, upon returning to Gaia, we discover something is amiss... The entire world is now covered in Mist. Is this Kuja's doing!?

So ends disc 3...

@CSW1023 Well it isn't a very long escape, and it's more cutscene than actual gameplay, not even random battles, so a timer would have been pretty pointless.

I do wonder how soon is soon. Until Zidane is fully grown. He's only about sixteen would fully grown not be more like twenty or something? Zidane is still quite small I reckon if Kuja did survive the ending he probably has a year or two of life left in him.
