Joe Dolce - Shaddap You Face 'The Beginning'

Extremely rare 'live' mono video of an early performance of 'Shaddap You Face,' in May 1980, long before the song was recorded and released. The venue was the 'Catch a Rising Star' cabaret in Richmond, VIC, and the backing house band is the same band that was later used on the recording. This Australian audience had never heard of this song before and this clip captures the playfulness and improvisational aspects of the way it originated. It was never performed the same way twice. The sound and picture are slightly degenerated but the magic of the performance is still there.
