This was one of several attempts to create a "Famous" star out of Herman by Paramount in the mid-'40s. By 1950, they decided to pair him with "Katnip" in their own series, which lasted until 1959, when Harvey Publications bought the rights to them and the other "Noveltoon" characters, as well as Paramount's post-1950 cartoon library.
