Detroit's Big Three appealed to the U.S. Congress on Tuesday with a retooled case for a bailout as large as $34B, pledging to slash work forces, car lines and executive pay in return for a federal lifeline. (Dec. 2)

GM closd plants in NJ. Gm didn't care about the impact of the closing on the people , state and economy. They upped production in Canadian and Mexica plants. Now the government wants my great great grand children to share the burden of bailing them and their corporate jets out.

AMERICANS you did a fine job telling how important it is to buy American products from food to autos from USA companys who make and have higher standards fairer wages for USA workers and must comply with laws of our nation and be held responsible when they dont. Unlike many other nations selling goods in our country. Its time for all of our states to support one another. Hmm. I don't know. These are the folks that brought us cold-blooded carburetor cars, brought us the Ford Pinto, TWICE got the country hooked on driving gas-guzzlers before energy prices jumped (one case involved a gas shortage of course), brought us the EV-1 and then forcibly repossessed all of them before shifting the focus to SUVs, and played media darling saying the Chevy Volt is actually innovative compared to the Tesla Roadster. I'm not exactly feeling sympathetic for some reason. =)
