This scene introduces two of the main characters in 9500 Liberty, Elena Schlossberg and Alanna Almeda. They are stay-at-home moms from Prince William County, Virginia who created the blog antibvbl to counter the misinformation and anti-immigrant rhetoric surrounding the county immigration resolution passed in 2007. The blog became a place for getting information, sane discussion and organizing a resistance.

  • WOW! I AM IN SHOCK! SO MANY SOUTHERN PEOPLE DEFENDING IMMIGRANTS! I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS NO HOPE FOR AMERICA ANYMORE BUT ALL THESE 9500 LIBERTY HEROES DO REPRESENT THE AMERICAN IDEALS OF FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. IF ONLY THE NAZIS WOULD HAVE BEEN CONFRONTED BY BRAVE WOMEN LIKE THESE LADIES THE HOLOCAUST WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPEN.

  • god bless these women these are the type of people that I completely respect because their hardworking, comprehensive, smart ans ofcourse there are moms, god bless you and your families

  • Damn this make feel all kinds of emotions I can only think of one reason he hates mexicans he's jealous lmfao

  • a week ago i was watching a documental about the holocaust, and here in America we condemn those actions back then.. profiling people... now this new law is just like the begining of this horror of the past we dont have the star of David as a proof ,but we as latinos need to carry our papers all the time even do we ara citizens ...why?

  • I support you guys!! We need more like you. You are an inspiration!! I have had some of the same things happen to my husband and I so I totally understand.

  • Anyone who has ever worked a food truck handing out food to starving people knows the risk of simply opening the back doors and letting people take what they want from the food truck. The moment starving people get the impression that they're not going to get their fair share, all hell breaks loose. But, if people gave a crap about these people at all, they'd help them get their country together and improve schools there, and help them improve their own countries.

  • If a FEW parents go to a country illegally, birth children in the country and want them educated, ok lets educate them. But when 10 million!! parents go to a country illegally, birth children, and hope (dare I say expect) that country to educate their children (dare I say provide medical, food, housing), it risks destroying the very country itself. This isn't rocket science, people need to fix their countries and stop trying to simply take what other countries have worked really hard to build.

  • @rmuenks So you would deny a child an education?
