@snicholson Tis an honour to hear from you sir, sorry for misspelling your name. I guess the gist of my comment was to spurn you onto answering; whether or not you found fun in repeated plays of this game despite the dice bidding mechanic. I hope it wasn't too frequent to spoil the games fun.
Have you heard of Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space? Paper, pencil & card game, plays 2-8, takes 2 minutes to teach and the only time your plan can be ruined is when you've been gobbled up by an alien.

troyes is one of the best games of 2011... love it

Im liking these - - - keep going! Bit of a roving reporter with a 2 minute window - works well, and I am impressed that the iPad captures the vid so well.

Well done. I like this new concept. Thanks for sharing your video explorations.

I really like the fatc that although you don't make BGWS anymore, you still keep putting interesting stuff up. Thanks for that, Scott! =)

Hey, Scott, I really appreciate and like these little quickie videos that show games in progress. I think you should keep these up!

@Wakka12321 Yes, but there are some games that allow you to manipulate the rolls in various ways to reduce the luck. The combat in the World of Warcraft board game, for example.
Apparently, in this game you can buy good rolls from other players.

Thanks, Scott. Great to see you doing even a brief glimpse at a new game.
Scot always gets frustrated when you spoil his plans ^^
I remember the Thurn und Taxis review. How frustrated you would get planning your routes & then advised gamers not to plan ahead in this game, as it will simply frustrate the gamer.
I'd be interested if you can cope & enjoy to play such a game, where the core mechanic is allowing players to steal (buy) each others dice (actions). I think I'll get it regardless though *smiley*

@Blahdabbadoo It's just like my life - I'm a planner. I get a lot of pleasure when a game allows me to plan and then carry out those plans. If the game gives too many ways for those plans to be ruined, then that takes away what is fun for me in a game.
