Yes it was a split second decision he was trying to grab all the snakes and throw them to the ground. off to the left where the camera isn't showing was a group of children. He had seen enough. A lesser man wouldn't have the balls to interject. So who's the dumber man? The one that got bit and got help or the one that got bit and chose to die a slow agonizing death. Berate all you want. On a personal note that man, the Sheriff was my Grand Father and further more he man holding the snakes Gene Prince not 2 weeks after this happened got bit 7 times. 2 on the hands and 5 in the face and his faith led him to go lay in a bed and suffer while his extremities began to swell beyond control and eventually rupture due to the massive amounts of venom coursing through his veins. That "dumbass" sheriff was my grandfather.

Dumb Sheriff: I'm not for these religious snake rituals(made up stuff and not of God) but you cannot just walk up and grab a rattle snake out someones hand and then swing it violently and expect not to be bitten. WTF he thinks he's looking tough doing this, he's looking like a dumb sheriff.
