You literally have no idea. There is no chance involved in the matter. Consider the size and nature of the universe. The "chances" are that we as a civilization are at the very bottom of the intelligence scale.

Consider the infinity complex; if space is infinate, there are an infinite amount of other civilizations who are infinitely more intelligent than us. The real question would be whether or not they exist in our reality. Therefore the key to this debate would be with the possibility of folding in/out of space/time/other "dimensions".
