President Carter was my Commander and Chief during my time in the Marine Corps. He did more to appropriate military development of strategic triad programs of the military. He improved Land, Air and Sea implimentations of the Patriot missile, TOW, Cruise Missile and land forces M-1 Abram Tank. He was the President who developed all systems to test and later use against Iraq and Afganistan. I am honored he kept me alive.

Jimmy Carter deserves the criticism aimed at him. He could have defeated Reagan and we would have never had a radicalized Republican party. But he actually earned his Nobel Prize prize unlike Obama.

I am convinced that had Carter not been President at this time, we would have seen a dramatic shift in American policy that would have been twice as difficult in containing communism. Our military and diplomacy had some unique failures in Iran but we didn't see the dramatic events that followed years later.

U read too many liberal leftist junk.In a news conference in1973 the Shah said because the west didnt honor their part in the 25 yr old oil contract & once it expire in 1979 he will not renew it.Sadat in his book "Those I have known" wrote:The 4 leaders of USA UK France & Germany met in Quadelupe & took a unifed stand against the Shah & in support of Khomeini.They plunted a time bomb & didnt grasp the reality until it was too late & its shrapnels all over Iran?

So the Shah's oil policy was the main reason.Huuman rights was an excuse.Carter has a centre for human rights & not once in the last 32 yrs has said anything about his legacy in Iran & what his darling regime has been doing to the Iranians.Carter sent General R Hyser of Nato in a US cargo military plane to Tehran to prevent a pro Shah military revolt.He chose 2 top anti-Shah democrats like George Ball &Ramsey Clark incharge of his Iran task force with another anti-Shah Sulivan as US man in Iran.
