magpie kill vid

Magpie kill in almost zero wind. Sub 12 foot pounds. Pellet strike in the heart and out the back.
Magpie was killed instantly so one less song bird egg thief around.
As I fired, my loose hold and poor shooting position shows in the movement of the rifle ret.
Good on the shot but poor on the hold - My fault!

How can you know where do you have to place the beade to shot perfectly where you want? How can you know exactly the distance to discount? I wait response greetings :D

@DiogoFooser I practice at many distances that I judge by sight and by the side focus wheel on the scope. This practice shows me the hold over or under with respect to the shot taken against my zero distance of 31 metres

@eduardo0796 Magpi's are classed as vermin under the general license. They are egg theives - They do not care if its a rare song bird or a common pigeon egg, they will systematically hunt hedgerows and gardens in search of eggs and nestlings to feed their young. Their population has increased in the past few decades maybe due to road kill food availability in the bleak Winters and other reasons.

@ItzWurmy Thanks for the comment but I am still only a short distance low power shooter. Still anyone able to shoot a high powered rifle by virtue of their age or where they live should be taught rifle ballistics to appreciate what will happen when their finger releases the shear action.

nice shootin buddy,,, i had the same holdover prob yesterday and a side wind but nailed 7 common crows of the high braches on my permission in scotland, gives you a huge satisfaction factor,,, the buzzards were my best mate "!!!
