Ron Wakita and I were float fishing for Steelhead on the Kalum River Saturday, October 24, 2009. Ron landed this beautiful, bright doe using "Delta" artificial drifter salmon eggs (aka space-man), white wool and a super sharp Gamagatsu size 2-ott barbless hook. The rod is a 10.5 foot Skeena River King Trophy XL graphite class 10-17LB. The reel is a Abu Garcia 6600 C4 filled with 15-pound Berkley Big Game fishing line. The foam float was made by Gibbs Tackle.

if you use lighter line you will catch more fish because trout wont bite if they see the line

they are using an abu garcia ambassador c4. baitcasters and level winds are the same thing.
by the way, that was a hell of a fish. you ought to look into the abu garcia revos (low profiles). they have large spools that handle plenty of line. i love them. but i love my c4's too. great video.
