First ever attempt of a Nordic Combined Hurricane Start in North America. This Hurricane start took place at Soldier Hollow on December 16th 2006. Soldier Hollow is the 2002 Olympic Winter Games venue for Cross Country, Biathlon, and Nordic Combined located in Midway, Utah.

  • Blah... to much like track...

  • I think that the jumping distances translate into a certain position in the hurricane (the better your jump, the closer to the outside you start), and then everyone just goes around and around and around until they get onto the actual course. Its just another way of starting a NC race. I think the typical start is that your jumping translates into a start time.
