Brilliant. Although it saddens me the way people take the best of TV, like Eric and Ernie, and compare it to the worst of today's fare like Britain's Got Talent just to make a point. I remember TV being pretty dreadful then as well despite occasional moments of brilliance.

what makes me laugh is that people like Simon Cowell seem to rule TV nowadays at

silly prices but if Morecambe and Wise were still around he would not even make a

good guest on the Morecambe abd Wise show (one day the country will wake up and

smell the coffee)

I was lucky enough to meet Eric and Ernie back in the 1980's...both great guys and both sadly missed.
