TONS of Costa Rica Travel INFO & VIDEOS at http://TravelCostaRicaNow.com Hey Guys! If you're looking for something gay or gay friendly in Puerto Viejo Costa Rica, then look no farther than Hotel Banana Azul. Many hotels say they're gay friendly for marketing purposes but Banana Azul is the real deal. Gay OWNED and OPERATED and the staff understands, so if you're heading to the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and you want to stay with family, Banana Azul just may be the place....and guess what?....even if you're NOT gay...still the place to stay.

  • So what's the "snake" situation like in Costa Rica? I'm not a huge fan of snakes. I'm assuming they have some big ones that could slither out of the jungle near the hotel.

  • @SUCKMEISTER005 About 135 different snakes here, 17 which are venomous. That said, slithering around the hotel, possible but not probable and if they did, you'd have to go out of your way to find them.

  • @SUCKMEISTER005 I've seen more snakes in my backyard here in California than I've seen in the wild in Costa Rica, 2 here, 1 there. The 1 I saw there was a large Boa in the rafters of a long abandoned house. Nothing to fear unless it dropped on you. I've been hiking in the hills around Cahuita and Puerto Viejo at least a dozen times and have never seen a snake. Anyway, if you are bitten by one, there is a clinic in Puerto Viejo, you will be taken there within 15 minutes and given antidote.
