That is so sweet that you and Brad met at a Needfire show and that you used this song at the wedding. It's even more special that Brad chose to be in Louisiana with you!
I came from that area originally, not too far from Shreveport! Where do you live down there? I have been in the Dallas area for years now and am loving it!
I am so happy for you and Brad!

I'm from Baton Rouge - yes, Brad left Dallas for Baton Rouge - and I've lived here my entire life. I have family and a son here, so it was easier for him to move than it was for me, so he did.
I met Brad on a Saturday night, after a few myspace comments and IM conversations, I had his phone number by the next Friday and we were married a year later. When you know, you just know. :)

I love them, too. I love this song so much, I used it instead of "Here Comes the Bride" at my wedding. It was a surprise for my husband, Brad (the bagpiper/melodica player). The band knew about it, but kept it a secret from him.
Clip was filmed at Lochrann's Pub New Year's Eve 2007.

Thanks for sharing this story! I love that you had this song played at your wedding, it must have been a real dream come true!
Are you married to THE bagpiper in NeedFire? OMG, that is really fantastic! I love when he and Dylan really get rockin in a song! I need to find out the names of all the guys, I remember looking them up, but I have mush for memory cells!
So where is Lochrann's Pub located? It looks very picturesque!
I really can't get enough listening to the band, they're the BEST!!

Sadly, Brad's not in the band anymore, he moved to Louisiana to be with me, that was his last show (for now) and he's been replaced by Richard Keen. Dylan's the fiddler, his dad, John is guitars, Ed is on bass and Matt is on drums.
Brad and I met at a NeedFire show, so to tribute them, I used the song at the wedding (and because Here Comes the Bride is too predictable)
