Testing a Roland TD-9 with Superior Drummer

Please excuse the bad drumming (newba here :), I'm testing my roland TD-9k with the Superior Drummer VST plugin. I'm using a macbook pro with apogee duet sound card on Logic Pro. I'm using the Avatar drum pack with some minor customization (some EQ + Compressor).

which is the latenc whit/whitout the sound card?

is possible to have very low latency only whit your mac?
