Love MST3K...these guys are hilarious...also got the rifftraxxs to the Star wars saga....its hit and miss...hits with episode 4-6 and miss with episode 1-3...but enough about George Lucas!LOL

Why even have railings if people are going to fall over them anyway?

It is SOFT science fiction, meaning lasers are lethal and launch a projectile. If it was a slightly harder science fiction setting they would use guns that shoot bullets, but then it would be harder to go "We are on a generation ship!!" (Which is actually reasonably hard sci-fi though.)
