A night time video capture (on tripod) of the Italian Band "Bandomat" performing a single phrase of their "Achtung Bitte!" song.

Lens used: Nikkor 55-200mm VR

The outstanding sound quality is due to the separate recording with the Zoom H2 portable microphone; not the built-in microphone.

Yes, I know that the frame is skewed and not really horizontal. I had to move the tripod because some old dork decided to stand right in front of the dSLR. It is a shame I noticed it only afterwards.

  • My sound always comes out crappy when recording with my d5000...did you have to make any adjustments to the mic settings? and also what editing program did you use?

  • @Nogert

You can only change the ISO in video mode by changing the exposure compensation on the d5000. Sadly, it won't let you manually control it.

  • anch'io ho una d5000, si comporta molto male solitamente con luci basse, specialmente se si surriscalda leggermente.. molto rumore in forma di onde orizzontali sullo schermo.. praticamente inutilizzabile. forse mi sfugge qualche trick.. so no c'è modo alcuno di controllare lo shutter (in modalità video) mentre si può pvviare all'auto exposure usando il blocco AE.. mi sfugge qualcosa? grazie!

  • @StudiodeNaufrage @StudiodeNaufrage cool man but its so expensive in the comparative :(

  • @Luckzzz d5000 has a swivel screen for crowd shots, low shots etc, or, think about getting the video-capable Nikon 300s, which allows mic input, Nikon 300s takes both SD and CF cards, can record on both at same time if u need or can copy images from one card to the next in-cam, etc, (d300s has no swivel scr)

  • @Nogert i dont own a dslr but from what ive seen it does

  • @SheridanAlex are you sure ISO effects the video feature? I thought that was just for taking pictures.

  • @Nogert this looks like it was shot at a high iso judging by the noise but theres no wave so turn it up to a high iso and it should help

  • I say WOW!!! 'Cause its only mono man.. WTF.. I will buy it .. But I'm watching Canon 500d(T1i) too.. :( .. So fucking undecided..

  • Can anyone help me, how do I change the exposure of my shot when recording? it seems to be totally unrelated to the aperture when filming.

Also at low light situations I seem to get a strange wave effect that passing from the top of the video to the bottom :(
