Another tough ride on the pushbike. Burns Beach is located 34 kilometres north of Perth's CBD at the northern fringe of the City of Joondalup. Burns Beach has managed to maintain much of its original character as a small coastal village even with its loss of isolation, and the beach is popular among hang gliding enthusiasts.
Hillarys is part of the Whitfords precinct, and is located 21 km north-northwest of Perth's CBD via Mitchell Freeway and Hepburn Avenue.
Hey mate thanks for the vid.Ah so many familiar sights, when my mate and i were in our early teens we would ride our pushbikes from our homes in Duncraig up to Burns/Quinns and fish our way back to Hillarys over 2 days. That was in the mid 80s when none of the cycle paths existed and Marmion ave only went as far as Mullaloo, it was dunes all the way from Sorrento. then there was the time my chain snapped at ocean reef and i had to walk/roll all the way home in 35deg temps. That was a tough ride.
