in the big bulky part of the lanyard,.. wouldent a normal sized light my fire without the handle fit inside that?

I usually just bring a zippo along with me. But this certainly works too! I like it. Gonna buy a larger flint and shove it in the middle of a lanyard I made for extra protection. Nice work!

Cool thought, but why would you not just tie off a larger firesteel? Cold weather destroys your fine motor skills fast. Something that small would be hard to use if you are dying of hypothermia

you can. I just wanted to show that you can Have a fire starting system on your knife with out adding weight. By no minds should anyone rely only of this tip. And yes you have a really good point. but then again i just could have tied off the whole entire bic lighter on the lanyard and have an outstanding fire starter. Cheap,fun,fucntional,tip is the name of the game for this vid. thankyou for the comment.
