The gorgeous blonde guy who gets fairly 'friendly' w/ Cher in this routine is the late great Peter Tramm. HE is what made the original "Footloose" a hit. I am really missing him lately, and what a gem to find in my online searching. RIP Peter, it's been such a long time.

@banchl absolutely correct, banchi. I saw this when it originally aired. I only watched the show when Joan hosted. She said publicly that she booked guests that a 'younger' audience would tune in to watch.

She was so ahead of her time with her sexuality. Can't believe the Tonight show allowed her to do that but I guess it was ok since Carson wasn't hosting. I can understand why Cher didn't like him, he could be a real d**k. Anyone know where I can see her interview?!?!

@kingnando Yes. It's already on youtube. Also notice how at 2:47 when she spins to grab the mike, and then the shoulder move at 3:03 and the dancers being all in line and Cher dancing her way from one to the other is exactly Madonna's Hung Up choreography during the song's bridge! What a shame!
