If I look on my records and the music I adore it's very often Jerry Hey's name that pops up. In my ears, Al Jarreau's "Distracted" for example would be scary enough without horns - however, that Jerry-arrangement and sound on top takes the piece beyond - I am very thankful for that precious contribution and the tears!

being a horn section player since the seventies, this guy, his recordings are one of my biggest influences. I wish he would do some kick ass funky horn arranging on a solo album.

Yeah, good to see the legendary Jerry Hey for once. He´s the kind of hornplayer/arranger that comes around once every century. His hornlines is often the Thing that lifts the song to another level. Amazing musicianship!

Wow, it's great to finally put a face with the name, Jerry Hey! I love all his arrangements and playing on all the excellent songs, back when real monophonic instruments were used on recordings! Great!
