thats not the way i do it i just upgrade cerberus and model gun when you upgrade model gut to top it becomes really powerful but thats when i have upgraded cerberus alot

not quite sure which one that is,
altho if it's the bit where your protectin the boy idk what advice to give, just try an get them off the roofs and make sure you have ice materia equipped as it has the longest range, sorry couldn't b more help
