  • Hi Jessica,

Firstly, I think that was great!

Secondly, did you use to teach percussion lessons at schools in Cambridgeshire? There was a teacher called J Ryckewaert at my school (Sawston village college) who left in July 2008. I never got a chance to say goodbye or thank her for helping me to get a distinction in Grade 1 drum-kit!

  • Hi there Luke and thanks for your kind words, I hope that you are well and of course I remember you. Unfortunately I had to leave Cambridgeshire Music as I had so many professional commitments and concerts coming that required a lot of practise. I am also recording a lot in the studio. Keep me updated with your progress too. Take Care Jessica. You were a great student Luke

  • Hi Jessica: What did you played at the 2002 International Vibraphone Competition?

    Thanks

    Pablo

  • Hi Pablo, for the 2002 International Vibes Competition, Jessica played Voyage by Gerard Lecointe, Links 2 and 3 by Stuart Smith, the Concerto for Vibes and String Orchestra by Emmanuel Sejourne and Loops by Philippe Hurrel which was the compulsory piece for the finale. Thank you

  • This piece is so great. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the sheet music. I could not find any places to order it online.

  • I have no word to define that thing. This is beyond excellence.

With my friends musicians we often play rythms with our hands, so this video is like the ultimate reference!

It has everyting a piece of Art must have (IMO): Beauty, Intelligence, Experimentation, Fun.

A million thanks to all of you.

  • It reminds me a bit of Alexander Ekman's "Swingle sisters", but it's nice.

  • Nice.

Only thing is, I think this looks better with long sleeves, that way it almost looks like floating hands.

  • does somebody have the scores of it?

  • The weirdist thing i have ever seen lol rythmic tho (Y)

  • I love this piece! When CLOD came to my college and performed it they did it justice but that was better, in my oppinion! I have to admit, hearing it then for the 1st time we all laughed a bit but hen u see the beauty in it, thanks for uploading!
