omg i live in manitowoc wi and i have been seeing strange lights.. one night i saw wat looked to be a star shaped, and i watched it and it was going slow then it went strait up and it was gone. and i have been seeing things every since.

Well I guess we didn't see them go out and relight. More of a flickering from our view. Not sure exactly where you are in southern WI. None the less though...I don't care WHAT it was...it was CRAZY to see. Like others describe in other posts around the web - you think it's helicopters or somethig like that but there is NO noise. It's just someting you don't experience everyday.

I'm beginning to think it was Chinese Lanterns released at a wedding or for a Halloween party....

We pretty much saw whatever it was from the beginning. They came from behind a tree line upwards but the like your video just kind of began to travel sideways in a slow indirect path. One right after another and I don't ever know how many there were but 30 is a good guesstimate. They were bright but then almost flickered like...a candle maybe? Then for every single one they "distinguished"/disappeared in the EXACT same spot in the sky...again one right after another.

My spouse and I saw this Saturday evening (Janesville, WI). I've been looking for a logical explanation in our local paper for this but I can't find anything. It was so bizarre to actually see this and you can't even begin to explain it people. I wonder how many other saw it??

we thought about that but lanterns don't relight and I saw them do that. And theres been to many sightings just like this one for them all to be lanterns.

southern wisconsin.... it's hard to see truly unless you put it on full screen!! Crazy amount of sightings in october!! check out the one on pennsylvania/delaware border on the 23rd its the same thing we saw!!
