Some homeowners across the street from the Revel Casino building site are afraid that the cranes might fall on their houses.

  • @s0472640 toobad the cranes fell and it didn't and on there houses lol..then it cought on fire

  • @s0472640 I agree... However, eminent domain is rarely used for third parties, and even more rarely will the property be transferred for economic reasons.

  • Id love to live next to a casino.

I admit the works would kinda bug me at times but, no progress without noise.

Extra security and a 24 hour a day life style would suit me.

All the extra revenue the casino will generate will benifit the locals..

  • Yes I think you're right, I mean all the hard work being put into the city should be appreciated.

  • Stop complaining you live in a casino resort town. Construction is progress. If it wasnt for casinos there would be no economy in AC. The people that live in are ungreatfull for the jobs opertunities they have. They should eminate domain these people out of the city so AC can reach its full potential, and visitors can feel safe. If you dont like it move. Im sure Revel offered you more then your house was worth, and you denied them.

  • wow i i was born in atlantic city ,moved away in 2005 so much has changed seems i lived one block from this location vermont ave

  • im one of the plumbers on the revel site and yes they are each going to be 657ft, tower 1 has 54 stories and tower 2 has 57 stories

  • those 2 towers are gonna be 700 ft high?

  • I'm not sure about the piles damaging existing houses, I would think a lot of houses and buildings in the area were built on piles. Just my .02

  • Cranes are beautiful! ... but yes, they all fall over... and they are more dangerous than those ugly pic-up trucks you Americans love to drive.. you know those monsters that use 40 gallons to the mile. Driving on the freeway is quite safe compared to those huge "telephone poles" that are all on the verge of falling! :-D Any way I enjoyed watching this video of cranes that I have been finding amazing for over 30 years now! Consider yourself lucky! :-)
