"Assault Weapons" do not exist. The term is a made up political expression designed to scare people unfamiliar with guns. Assault Rifles exist. Assault Rifles are carried by soldiers and are capable of full auto fire. AR15s look like their military cousin. But operate like any auto hunting rifle. One shot per trigger pull.

U agree with Timh341. The second amendment has in a way already been violated for when it was written, the people had the same weapons as the military - which was it's intention. Can we now own the same now?

Coming from a President who has probably never picked up a weapon in his entire life. In my opinion the president should have excersized the 2nd amendment or shouldn't be elected as the president.
