two century hawk sprts linked together to make my tandem rotor testbed for an upcoming chinook iwill be building using a vario fuselage. since the fuselage doesnt come with mechanics it is up to the builder to make his own. thisis my first tandem so i needed to get things together with a low cost setup. the helitronix mixer is used to set up the flight controls for both rotor systems. the hawk mecha have been converted to 90 degree ccpm and a londer boom and torque tube were required

  • thanks man, yep thats toth!

  • the controls are just the same as a conventional heli at the radio. opposite sideways tilt on the swaqshplates result in yaw to the left or right

  • nice build Emile, so is it finished yet with the body, I'd love to see that thing flyin

  • looks like Toth Stage Field to me. Very nice setup, you definately have it going on.

  • very nice. you're my hero.

  • Well done as usual copterdoctor. You may have to put a longer shaft on the rear, As the rear rotor in the full scale one sits higher then the front one, if memory serves me correctly.

  • That's awesome, how do you yaw with that setup?
