Last half of the song "Chemical" where I do my bass spin. This was the first song out of our set this night in Kendallville, IN on the Extreme Tour 2009.

  • can you do a video telling how to do a bass spin please?

  • @sfibass There are tons of videos here on youtube. Just make sure you use Strap Locks AND duct tape your strap (over top of locks) to the body. Just because you use strap locks, doesn't mean the screws can't come out (learned the hard way and almost ruined my bass).

  • dude that was sick, i wanna do one of those sometime for me and my band, do you have anything holding your strap on or do you just use the centripital force and pray that it doesnt fall off? hahaha

  • I have done this with my bass, but not on stage yet. The thin keeping it on is either strap locks, or you put big washers on the straps. I use washers cuz I dont feel like spending money to trust plasic. lol but i also do it the direction that he does it. Over the shoulder just destroys my shoulder. lol

    Good job by the way!!!

  • @Pimpin7717 Thanks. Like I told the other people, strap locks and duct tape are a must! The force of spinning will probably make your strap locks pull out, screw and all. It needs to be more secure. Yes it will take a total on your shoulder and neck when it cuts in, damn strap burn sucks!

  • @fretjam12321 Sorry for the delay. I have strap locks and then a crap load of duct tape! Before the tour I spun it and it flew off, screw came right out! So make sure to duct tape that sucker up really good! And yes, my bass went flying and broke a bit but was an easy fix.

  • lol it really isnt that hard to do lol.

and all you have to do is flip it over your back with enough muscle to get it around your back.

  • @thepanicstudio lol.. uhm.. im like 5'5" and uhm.. i did spin sideways.. but i didnt have strap locks on....and it worked.. teh only thing is.. i used ducked tape... xDD like loads of ducked taped.. xDD

  • @music4life2989 if you put the bass to your side and the head touches the floor DO NOT TRY IT, I'm only 5'7", I"m short but it works pretty good as you can see. And when you spin it's up in the air a bit and to the side so really you should be fine but ...practice if you can with a cheaper bass and DO NOT do it unless you have strap locks. Normal strap pegs won't cut it, it WILL fly off and WILL probably break.

  • how tall do u have to be in order to do a bass spin?
