Saturday, November 15th, 2008 at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, CT
Unfortunately, the previous two weeks' shows are lost to the annals of time. Cornell Athletics didn't trust the Band to perform a decent, respectful halftime show and accused us of "not contributing to a football atmosphere." Who wanted to go to Ithaca anyway? Then, I stupidly neglected to set-up the camera for the Penn game, where the Band sported a whopping 72 members—the most this season. FYI, we played "Free Ride" and "Dammit (This Is Growing Up)."
Onto New Haven for Yale's Homecoming! The Band took two buses to this game, the first time that had happened since 1998, and somehow managed to squeeze 3 jokes/formations/songs out of our allotted time rather than the usual 2. We rocked and kicked the Yale Precision Marching Band's little bulldog tuckuses. Those silly Elis thought they weren't allowed to play in between downs.
Show includes:
1.) Clock (now with moving hands), accompanied by the theme from "Back To The Future."
2.) Kidneys (?), accompanied by the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back."
3.) Flaming barrel of trash, accompanied by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones' "The Impression That I Get (of New Haven)."
Alas, I also forgot to set-up the camera for the season-ending show against Dartmouth (all 13 of their band members came down for the game!). It was a cold and unenjoyable day, and no one cares about Fartmouth anyway—you're not missing much.
Hahaha. I love your info box xD
