Commentary and analysis on President Bush's decision to commute I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's sentence. Features Jonathon Turley of the George Washington University Law School. Extras from The Political Chase
30 days is too severe, in fact 30 minutes is too severe, when the fellow sentenced knowns things that the President does not want known. Where is the voice of the righteous Republicans? Who among them will speak out against this man who would be king?
It is "1984" and you are too involved with entertainment, mindless past times, drugs, drinking, sex, SPORTS(which you will never be the hero) FOX, propaganda on TV news, movies, television, radio, eating too much, etc. Are you placidly waiting for the next Government(Banking/Corporate) Terroist attack? Martial Law and you and your family are slaves or dead. Wake up and do your homework.
In 1998, then Governor George W. Bush, had no pardon for Ms. Carla Faye Tucker, the first woman executed since the Civil War. There were candle-lighted vigils pro-life for Ms. Tucker, a born-again Christian on death row.

Interesting how the administration allows men to sit for years in Gitmo without a trial, yet Scooter's sentence is too severe!

Bush may have misunderstood his advisors.
What they said: "Mr President, we need to give the libbies something to get your Amnesty Bill passed."
What Bush heard: "Mr President, -- ---- -- give --- libbie- --------- -- --- ---- Amnesty ---- ------."
