  • On this song it took 47 takes to finish and in the process made bassist Noel Redding walk out of the studio, with Jimi recording not only the lead and rhythm guitar dubs and riffs, but he also played the bass part as well.... his genius has never been matched by anyone in the forty or so years ago he has was on our earth and is still relevant until this very day...

  • this song truely showcases his excellent song writing ability, and he made a guitar sound like it spoke to you!!!!!!!!!!! 40 years gone and he still is the best!!!!!!!!! Hendrix all day fuck the music played on the radio nowadays

  • @mrbag60 thats not why chandler quit

    BURN BABY BURN.

    Country

  • @ghylltarvoke The answer is simple, Hendrix, not Clapton is God.

  • on US version of Electric Ladyland this starts the best album closing of all time=)

  • this is amazing

  • 0 dislikes....looks like everyone here is alright and in there sane minds, but i must be off!! someone out there is wrong on the internet!!

  • Jimi was clearly obsessed with his legacy and having earned extra spending cash through touring he wanted to do the bands third album right and at times went a little overboard (doing 47 takes on this song caused the manager Chas Chandler to quit, and Noel Redding the bassist to walk out). However, with results like this and across the spectrum of Electric Ladyland who can argue with the greatest guitarist of all-time.

  • If Clapton is God,then Jimi was his dad, when Jimi jammed with Cream in London,he killed Eric so much Eric walked of stage.

  • @matthewme23 Oh I dig :) He's the greatest
