when led zeppelin released boogie with stu on physical graffiti they credited mrs. valens bc she never got royalties for any of his songs.

I am a singer...and not only was Ritchie Valens "just rock" he had a soul to his musical gutiar playing, and also his voice was very soulful with that rock and blues edge and for a mexican/american in the 1950's that was FIERCE! maybe , you should "listen" to his music just a little closer...???
