A tribute to all involved in the 2009 Victorian bushfires - to those lost, those left behind and those who put their lives on the line for their fellow Aussies. Set to Bruce Woodley's performance of "I am Australian" at the National Day of Mourning memorial service on February 22, 2009.

Too Bad a person with know and training cant be used these days

    1) when you been trained seeing this you feel sorry

    2) been told we dont need you

    3) When you trained in high risk and is no use

    4) good Call CFA

i offered to help then i saved my home if the CFA turns up here i will tell them how to put the fire out for least amount of danger not max distraction like i have had reports of a lady's house flooded for a fire i have more to say but not worth it

  • @pcsucanj Hi there, I can understand your point, but let me put another side to it

    1) as a first aider you would've been better going to the Red cross, not the CFA

    2) as a CFA (I have been involed we both CFA and St john) incident controler I had many poeple come up offering to help, it is appreciated , but trying to manage them is just not practical, with everything else going on and as a result people would be put in danger

    3) fires change quickly and getting information out is not easy.

  • we need a day of reconition for our volenteers of our emgence services who are on call 24/7 and this would be the sony to get behind them, it is right when they say that

    "there storys must be told"

  • RIP Mel and Pen Chambers

  • i did that day offer my service's i am a lev 3 first aider but churchill cfa no thanks i am trained in some erp but they said no so what can i do plus i am a security guard may i say get rid of the shit and let the towns save the towns i did try and got told to FO by the CFA
