2009 Daytona 500 Race

My wife and her best friend Vicki took a trip with another couple (Dan and Darnel Wick) to Florida for a week or so in February of 2009. The initial trip was to involve watching the Space Shuttle launch and to watch the Daytona 500.

Less than a week from our departure time, the Space Shuttle launch was delayed. We still made the trip and I made a lone pilgrimage to the Daytona Speedway.

This is the short part of the race that I actually taped, only the first two green flag laps and another half a lap later in the race when "the big one" happened.
