When your engine is lean, you'll make more power. Therefore engaging the clutch, and therefore trying to move forward. Whomever voted my comment down obviously does not understand radio controlled cars.

I live in the uk have a trophy 3.5 and starts every time fist push of my rotostart :D as we live in a cold contry keep the low needle ritch so you get more fuel in this will help it start in colder temps, also get a hot glow plug for the winter and a warm glow plug for the summer as cold is more for US weather :D hope this helps
