Ava plays Jake's Tune on solo guitar with some pedals. Live at Amnesia, San Francisco. Shot on May 24, 2011.
This is the second time I ever saw Ava play. The first was with a band led by Aaron Novik (a PFR artist) at Viracocha 3 months ago. After that show Aaron, Michael Coleman and a few other musicians told me I should hear her play solo.
By pure chance this ended up being the first video in the series I'm beginning to do for Porto Franco Records, the label I run with my father Sergei. Whenever I have some free time, I try to shoot video at shows by musicians I like in SF. Although this is the beginning of the series, there are some others I made in the last few month that I like (Marcus Shelby Orchestra, Mitch Marcus Quintet, Seth Ford-Young, Mark Growden, etc.) You can find them in our YouTube channel.
