Old Photos from Taida 星稀雲散憶台大 Part 2

This is a two-part documentary of the life and activities of a group of young men who were schoolmates at the National Taiwan University around 1953 to 1956. The whole video is made from some old photos. They had a mini reunion 50 years later. If you were in Taida during that period, you may know some of them. Part 1 is the life in Taida. Part 2 is a mini reunion 50 years later.

There are 8 music selections in the video. Four of them were from Ten Sinkiang Dances CD (1, 2, 6, 7). Two of them are Chinese art songs (4, 5). The piano piece is a traditional Chinese instrumental piece adapted for piano (3). The last piece is a popular Chinese pop song where the vocal part is played by trumpet (8). The translation of the song titles are:

1.My Flower
2.Under the silver moon.
3.Moonlight on a spring river.
4.Looking for plum tree on a snowy day.
5.Song of parents.
6.Dou da Er and Ma Li Ya.
7.Ga E Li Tai.
8.Return at sunset.

星稀雲散憶台大

五十多年前，有一群年青人在台灣大學相識成了好朋友。雖然他們所讀的科系並不都一樣，而且各人來自不同的家庭背景和省籍，但是他們有一個共同的興趣，那就是打籃球！

五十年就是半個世紀。那是多麼長的一段日子，是人的大半輩子。當年那一群年青人，如今大多數已鬢髮花白，含貽弄孫，安享晚年。

歲月不饒人，當年的一群年青人中，如今，竟也有不幸已經作古了的。每想起，總覺不捨和惆悵。

二零零三年十一月，耿銳從溫哥華來舊金山省親，有機會和他見了面，並且約定一起到洛山機看望王積祜和孫曾垚。

在王積祜處，我們看到了一些在台大時期的老照片，談笑間，大家好像又回到了年青的時侯。

在孫曾垚處，大夥兒看見更多台大時期的老照片，既興奮又激動。之後，卻不免唏噓感嘆——想當年!

我自告奮勇把這些照片收集起來製成這張光碟，送給老友們分享。不過，那時候照相的機會並不多，而且洗出來的照片小得像郵票一樣，把它們掃描放大之後，仍然有些照片不清楚，­就好像現在的我們一樣，老了，視覺和記憶都糢糊了。

那麼，我們別用眼，要用心去喚回這些照片中每個純真和快樂的日子吧。
