It's not only about points, rather about how the fight went. Lewis had no technical instrument against Vit. He hit him during a clich and unluckily caused a cut. It's not even important whether Lewis was old or young because such situations may always happen.I think this "Lewis was old and fat"- stuff is overrated. He was 37 years old, nothing special. Lewis was much more experienced than Vit, and Vit. had only 11 day prep. time. Unfortunatelly there was no rematch afterwards.

Lewis was collapsing on his stool after that last couple rounds. He was winded. He did not train as he did for Tyson, Rahman 2 and the Holyfield fights.
Lewis thought he was going to fight Kirk Johnson anyways.

@TheOwen2805 vit fought one top fighter in lewis, sure he looked good for a couple of of rounds, many fighters are ahead after the half way stage only to fall apart, vit was stumbling around at the end and lewis was walking right through him,, it showed vits punching to be hard but not devastating, even corrie sanders (who didn't have a great chin) stood up to him, nah! vit should've beaten an old lewis but couldn't, good but not great
