They killed all transformers that made poor sales to make way for these new comers -

@supremereactr They weren't necessarily poor sales (Optimus Prime and Megatron are never poor sellers). There just wasn't room in the toyline for all the original ones _and_ all the ones they wanted to add.

BTW, there are technically only 7 Autobot and 7 Decepticon deaths (or "deaths") on-screen. Out of 72 figures in the 1985 catalogue (64 of them had appeared in the cartoon).

Anyone else notice that Megatron stabs, slashes, and shoots Prime multiple times to take him down.

Prime gets two solid blows on Megatron and almost fatally wounds him.

the scene with the song the touch was pure awesomeness. The leap Optimus did in the air, drawing his rifle and firing on the cons was forever etched in my mind from the day I watched this movie until today.

shoot in beast wars beast wars megatron shot optimus prime in the face with his weapon at full overload power and that still didn't kill prime. Just wounded prime. Prime's tough.
