David Wildman's speech for the Lehigh-Pocono Committee of Concern (LEPOCO) Annual Dinner where he talks about the need to end the war in Afghanistan, the need to end the war on state and local budgets, how the two are connected, and how we bring our war dollars home. Mr. Wildman is executive secretary for Human Rights & Racial Justice with the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. He's been to Afghanistan several times since the U.S. led invasion in 2001. He helped found United for Peace and Justice (2002) and the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation (2001) and is co-author (with Phyllis Bennis) of the book "Ending the U.S. War in Afghanistan: A Primer".
