I had to go back and rewatch the video. i agree that there was minimal time lost between raceways. was well programmed.

@luvyouinmouth why run a normal feed rate in between raceways? Does it make sense to you to cut 3"-4" of air at $60-100/hr for machine time? I have no clue what setup time and programming time would take. If I were the owner of this machine I would be very pleased with the programmer for his efforts to reduce cycle time and still maintain high quality. Time is money and if chips aren't being made then neither is money.

okay. so bore to oversized piston size, then bore for damage done from a cam? rapid as much as possible to eliminate wasted time.
what would be the setup time on a 5 axis and programming for these ops?

@luvyouinmouth my point was that there wasn't lost machine time to cutting air in betwwen bearing raceways. the efficiency of the programmer to eliminate as much time from the operation.
